About Charity Auctioneer Jim Miller
Jim did his first charity auction for Spencer Elementary School, in his home town, around 1990. He can't remember
how he got snookered into doing it, but it went pretty well and everyone
was happy.
At the time he was employed full-time, as the host of the
'Miller in the Morning' radio program on WHMI Radio in Livingston County, MI.
Fast forward and several radio
stations later...
He continued to help a hand-full of local schools and non-profits, for the next few years. It became a full time venture in 2002.

In recent years Jim spent an extended period of time "living aboard" his previous boat, S/V Jimmie Dreams. He spent time cruising the The Great Lakes, the North Channel Islands as well as the Florida Keys and Gulf of Mexico.
Jim works with a limited number of nonprofit organizations each year. This smaller client base allows
him the advantage of working one-on-one with each client personally.
When not doing benefit auctions, Jim enjoys sailing, spending time on/near/around Lake
Michigan, reading classic fiction novels, volunteering his time to several local nonprofits and spoiling his nieces and
nephew.
