Some groups pre-number the bags.  These groups are often offering a "Thank you gift" which can be placed inside. Others number them as they become aware someone actaully bought something and needs a bag.  Whatever works best for you.

You really can't have too many lanes for check out.  It's the last thing your donors will remember.  Try to get it right.  Long lines are not what we want them to remember.

Everybody talks about high tech and using the latest gadgets.  Don't get me wrong, i love them too.  But a good auction can be run with good old fashioned file folders.

The issue is, what if nobody in that range bought anything?  We have an entrie line set aside for them.  Set things up to handle "the next person in line".

Many schools use upperclassmen to handle check out.

Anytime we can streamline the process with technology, I feel it's money well spent.
